All hands on deck!

At last, our wonderful students have returned to Elms Bank Art College & St Monica’s College Hub and it is great to have them all back.

John and the team were initially busy during the lockdown, delivering food parcels once a week in their own time to 80 students covering a total of 120 miles a day and a lot of hours in the Manchester rain!

John, our catering manager, spoke to local businesses for support and the response was excellent. McDonalds donated colouring pads and crayons for the entire school and a local computer retailer donated 3 laptops for students to home study which was gratefully received by Elms Bank.

During lockdown, an ex-pupil of the school’s work experience in a local business sadly ended prematurely due to the pandemic, so Corey returned to school to work with the TNS team. We have since been supporting Corey in his course work and he is gaining valuable work experience in our kitchen. Most of the team have worked with Corey at The Hub and they are really pleased to be a part of his ongoing work experience.

Jeanette will be celebrating her 35th year anniversary of working at Elms Bank in April, so a special congratulations to her after a difficult year. Jeanette is a valuable member of our team at Elms Bank & St Monica’s, so we would like to say a massive thank you for your hard work and caring nature with the students and dedication while being at TNS and long may it continue!
